Named for the famed road that leads from Memphis south down through the Mississippi delta, the 61 South pays tribute to the artists who were born and played in the towns off Highway 61 like Clarksdale, Helena, Leland and Indianola. The 61 South comes with a Kent Armstrong designed P90 at the neck and tapped single coil at the bridge. Pulling up the tone knob allows you to cut or 'tap' approximately 25% of the bridge pickup signal. Tapping the coil takes the muscular and punchy single coil and and makes it clean and clear. The 3-way switch gives you the ability to isolate the neck or bridge pick-up; and the option to utilize both.
