Double Neck guitars are hardly a new concept. However, most double neck guitars are 12 string and 6 string combinations. Left handed double necks are very rare. Production left handed double necks are non existent. When we designed the DN-66 we did not want to make an "ordinary" 12 and 6 string double neck guitar just for the sake of having a "double neck" in our product line. We wanted it to be practical and useful rather than showy and flashy, which unfortunately most double neck guitars have the reputation of being. It took many months of experimental research and design to come up with the Gaskell DN66 and we are very proud of the final result. The DN66 is an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar - something new. Both necks are 6 strings, enabling the player to play acoustic/rhythm on the top neck and then be able to switch to the electric neck for rocking out or soloing. Because of this combination this guitar gives many possibilities and player situations. For many players the DN66 may be the answer to everything. Indeed the DN66 takes up less stage space than having a separate acoustic guitar and an electric guitar on stage.
The Gaskell DN66 is a real treat for the practical left handed guitarist!
