The Gaskell FIRESTARTER is inspired by a guitar that many call the "original Rock guitar." In the 48 years this guitar has been in existence, it has never been available as a production left handed guitar. Lefties could only ever dream about getting a guitar like this ... until now.
Redesigned in Australia, the Firestarter has a three-piece mahogany body and a maple set-in neck with reverse headstock. The body is slightly smaller than it's inspiration which actually improves it's playability. We do not use the original banjo tuners which are renowned to break. Instead of mini humbuckers, we use full-size, open-coil humbuckers which gives the guitar more output and punch, and is thus makes it suitable for more styles of music. In addition to rhythm and lead the Firestarter is also perfect for slide guitar.
