Left handed Explorers have otherwise not existed since the late 1980's. 

It is not just Gibson that makes Explorers. Several other renowned guitar brands do too, but none of them make theirs left handed either! As of 2008 Gibson does not even offer left handed versions through their Custom Shop! No amount of money today will get you a new "original."

Redesigned in Australia, the Gaskell Classic is made of genuine mahogany with a maple neck. It's slightly smaller body allows for a corrected centre of gravity, giving it better balance and playability. It's "60's neck" enables you to easily manage complex chording as well as leading up and down the fret board with ease. Also different is that it is has one volume and two tone controls (as with Fender guitars.) Played clean the guitar is bluesy and full. On overdrive it is pure power with endless sustain. The Gaskell Classic, like all our guitars and basses, can also be optioned with the Professional Platinum Setup.
