The X-BASS was the first Gaskell left handed bass guitar.
Explorer style bass guitars were originally made between 1984 and 1987. There were a few made left handed. But, like guitarists, lefty bass players have had the same ongoing situation with never being able to get a left handed Explorer style bass guitar since that time.
The X-BASS, patterned on the Explorer bass, is redesigned in Australia and uses an original style 3-point bridge with Wilkinson® "soapbar", humbucking pickups.
No matter where you are at - beginner, intermediate, or professional - you can benefit from playing a proper, gig-ready instrument, and so the X-Bass is for all lefty bass players.
Lefty bass players can get their X-Bass in any colour they want by simply pre-ordering the colour of their choice in any one of the three production runs we do per year.
If you ever wanted a left handed Explorer style bass guitar, then now that dream can become a reality!
