The Gaskell CLASSIC MARK II is essentially the same as the standard Gaskell Classic but without the pickguard, much like the Explorer guitars made by U.S guitar manufacturers Hamer and Dean. The Mk II follows in the style of the more Heavy Metal oriented version of the original Explorer which first appeared in 1976.
Like the original Explorer, this Explorer variant has also been unavailable as a left handed model by all 3 companies that make them today.
Redesigned in Australia, the Gaskell Classic Mark II has a slightly smaller, evenly weighted body with a corrected centre of gravity, making it more comfortable, more playable and timelessly stylish. Equipped with a set "C" neck, the MkII is perfect for complex chording, drop tuning, and blistering lead playing. The Mk II, like the standard Classic, is also controlled by one volume and two tone controls which differs from it's inspiration. Unique to the Gaskell Classic Mk II is that the pickguard selector switch has the "Rhythm/Lead" surround, used elsewhere only on LP style guitars.
This is a professional quality instrument that delivers the goods you need! If you ever dreamed of owning and playing a guitar like this, then now that dream can be REALITY!
